Sous Chef - Derbyshire - Award Winning Inn - to 30,000 package
 
Small picture-postcard countryside pub in the Derbyshire peak District requires a Sous Chef to help run its all fresh food operation which has a wonderful reputation (as well as numerous awards) for its rustic seasonal and locally sourced menus.
 
The kitchen focuses on using the best local produce, its ethos is based around simplicity and being the best at what they do. This is a great opportunity to join a very friendly and welcoming team in this privately owned business.
 
Applicants will have a passion for working with simple yet wonderfully tasting food and will have experience in working with all aspects of kitchen management. We will also consider more junior chef's looking for their opportunity to progress.
 
Being in a rural location this job will not suit most city lovers and having your own transport is essential. Accommodation can be helped with however a car or transport of some form would still be required.
 
Package to 30,000 for the right candidate, with a basic salary to 25,000 depending upon experience plus generous tips (4k to 5k per year) - making this an excellent package and Sous Chef opportunity - in a magnificent part of England!

Sous Chef - Herefordshire - to 30,000 - accommodation available
 
We are looking for a Sous Chef for our client, a charming, stylish and busy Gastro Inn with rooms located just outside of Hereford, Herefordshire. The Inn boasts an excellent reputation for its fresh modern British menus and also for its fine level of service. The restaurant is a firm favourite among local diners and visitors alike. Everything is made fresh on site and to the highest standards. Presentation, service and taste are of paramount importance here.
 
The Kitchen team is made up of a dedicated 7 strong brigade plus two KPs and caters for a restaurant of 110 covers.  
 
Applicants must have quality experience working as Senior Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in multi rosette standard kitchens.  We would be pleased to take either a very keen Senior CDP looking for his/her first Sous Chef position or a more experience Sous Chef.  Of paramount importance is that you are of excellent character, we are not looking for a shouter but rather someone who can help Head Chef lead and develop the team and ensure continuation of what is a very happy and productive kitchen team.
 
Successful candidates will have experience and a strong aptitude in the Pastry section as there is currently a specific skill gap in this area but the role will be working and overseeing all sections.
 
Accommodation can be offered.  The Inn is situated in the countryside and is only a few miles from the local town however, due to its countryside location it is essential that applicants have their own form of transport to get about on their days off.
  
The Sous Chef salary is very competitive from 26,000 to 30,000 depending on experience.
