The Atlantic House Hotel in New Polzeath North Cornwall is searching for a Hotel Reception Manager.
As Hotel Reception Manager, you understand the importance of a fantastic first and lasting impression. You will ensure that our new beachfront Boutique Hotel with up to 80 bed spaces is immaculate with an enthusiastic and welcoming Reception Team, ready to treat every challenge as an opportunity.
You will have all areas of our business in your focus throughout the day and ensure that any weak links in the guest service journey are quickly and effectively dealt with. Like a swan, you calmly display minimum fuss with maximum effectiveness to assist and direct where and when needed to ensure that great guest experience.
As a source of inspiration, support and guidance, using your multi-tasking skills through the inevitable peaks and troughs of the day, the Team will step up to deliver. You have excellent coaching and development skills to encourage great performance through positive leadership. You are a clear communicator, with a direct approach and not afraid to make the difficult decisions. Waffle and vagueness assigned to the bin.
From that first contact until their departure, our guests will gravitate to you. Administration and follow-up are among your strengths, and you are passionate about guest relations. Maximising all revenue opportunities and driving sales is part of the role. A good understanding of room rates and booking systems is critical – we use Guestline/Rezlynx.

We are looking for candidates with previous experience as Hotel Reception Manager, Front of House Manager, Assistant Manager, or Duty Manager in quality service led Hotel environments. It essential that you understand what is takes to deliver consistent front of house experience and that you can manage a FOH team to consistently deliver to every guest.
