Rhubarb Hospitality Recruitment is looking for a General Manager for a Neighbourhood Natural Wine Bar & Shop in Islington, London. The new site will open in just a few months, and we are searching for a General Manager to come on board now to take a lead role overseeing the opening, including being involved in design decisions from architecture to branding, and thereafter run the venue.

A local neighbourhood “Cave a Manger”, a natural wine shop/bar with light food options. There’ll be no reservations, a relaxed atmosphere, and very passionate, friendly and knowledgeable staff. There will be plenty of wines by the glass and no set menu, the server will open what they feel like on the day. There will be an extensive bottle list of natural and biodynamic wines.

Who do we need?

The person we are looking for must have an in-depth working knowledge of Natural Wines.

Ideally with experience in similar independent Natural Wine bar settings in London, as either Assistant Manager or General Manager. The role will involve all aspects of running a busy F&B operation so as well as being passionate about natural wines and generally having excellent wine knowledge, you must also be confident in managing a small passionate team of wine lovers, and of the usual day-to-day bar/restaurant management operations.

Salary

We are offering a competitive salary, in the range of £45,000 to £60,000 negotiable depending on experience.
