Rhubarb Recruitment is recruiting a Head Chef for a vibrant Greek restaurant located in the centre of Bath. We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chef to lead the kitchen operation. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating an innovative menu that showcases the best of Greek cuisine, as well as managing the kitchen staff and ensuring the highest level of quality and presentation of dishes. This role would be suitable for either an existing Sous Chef or Head Chef.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an innovative and high-quality menu that showcases the best of Greek cuisine
• Manage and train the kitchen staff, ensuring efficient and productive operations
• Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest quality and standards
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the freshest and highest quality ingredients are used in all dishes Manage inventory and food cost control, ensuring maximum profitability
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen and experience in Greek or Mediterranean menus and cuisine.
• Knowledge of Greek or Mediterranean cuisine
• Exceptional culinary skills and ability to develop and execute innovative menu items
• Ability to lead and manage a team, as well as work collaboratively with restaurant management and staff
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Salary: c£42,000 negotiable depending on experience
