Rhubarb Hospitality Recruitment is recruiting a Head Chef for The Old Bell, a Luxury Boutique Hotel and Restaurant situated in the centre of the vibrant, charming Cotswold market town of Malmesbury in Wiltshire, located within easy access (max 40 minutes’ drive) of Bristol, Bath, Swindon and Cheltenham.
The business, recently purchased by new owners, enjoys excellent reviews across all parts of the business which includes 30+ individually designed luxury bedroom suites, wedding and event suites, exciting dining room, cocktail bar and lounges.
An exceptional investment programme is underway by the new owners, further developing the welcoming, experience-based, luxurious and accessible ambience of the hotel and restaurant.
Food style is not typical to that found in other British boutique hotels. Here culinary menus take what’s familiar and infuse it with an array of innovative international flavours, creating a new set of rules for cuisine in this beautiful Cotswold market town. The dining room at the hotel delivers fresh, locally inspired & modern interpretations of British classics adding a celebration of international inspiration, all with an appreciation for the discipline that international cooking embodies. The objective is to deliver an all-senses experience that considers everything, from the plate to the restaurant aroma, presentation and sounds. The objective of both the hotel and the dining experience is to help guests celebrate all things, whether it be life’s biggest milestones or simply enjoying the gift of another day. The Head Chef will be responsible for running all usual aspects of modern commercial kitchen management and we’re looking for this to be delivered with energy, enthusiasm, flair and creative spirit.
The successful candidate will be a lover of delivering amazingly good food, knowledgeable of trends in the UK and International food scenes and deliver consistently unbeatable hospitality experiences.
Salary is c£48,000 negotiable dependent on experience.
Hours are 5 days per week with 2 days off
