Rhubarb Recruitment is recruiting for a Head Chef vacancy on Jersey in the Channel Islands at a leading luxury hotel operation. The hotel offers two restaurants with 2 kitchens, one formal dining (3 rosette standard) and the other is a Brasserie (with its own Head Chef – all fresh menus – in a setting of outstanding quality and natural beauty.
This Head Chef job will be responsible for overseeing the fine dining kitchen and the hotels banqueting operation. The kitchen has consistently held rosettes for many years and has recently lost its long standing Head Chef and so a primary focus for the incoming Head Chef we are looking for is to manage the process of re-inspection for ongoing awards, we expect this to be 3 rosettes. It is expected therefore that applicants have experience managing kitchens to a minimum of 2 Rosettes.
We are looking for a Head Chef experienced in all aspects of kitchen management, with stable well developed career history and with a strong and sustainable character that will ensure a consistent brigade and customer experience.
Salary package offered is to £40,000, between £35,000 to £38,000 as basic salary plus a bonus of £2,000 paid on re-acquiring previously held AA awards. Contract is based on a contracted 45 hours per week with all additional hours paid as overtime. Double time is paid on bank holidays.
