Rhubarb Recruitment is searching for a Head Waiter/waitress to oversee Food & Beverage operations and a Stunning Country House and Garden Estate located 2 miles from Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire, 7 miles from Bath, and 4 miles from Trowbridge. Due to the rural location, the successful applicant will need access to a vehicle.

About the site

The site operates a 60-cover day-time Restaurant and a Visitor Centre Café, very popular with day-time visitors to the Estate.

The Restaurant

The Restaurant is predominantly a daytime-only operation, with the lunchtime service running from 11.45 am through to 3 pm. Twice a month the restaurant hosts a Friday evening Supper Club and there are occasional special events, however, most working shifts are daytime-only. Menus are created using only the best, top-quality, sustainable, and local produce. All made in-house by our award-winning Head Chef, much of the food served is grown, reared, or foraged from the estate’s vegetable gardens and across the large country Estate.

The Café

The Visitor Centre Cafe is the perfect pitstop on an enjoyable walk through the miles of footpaths and manicured Gardens. The Cafe offers made-to-order Breakfast rolls, pastries, light savoury snacks, and cakes made in their on-site bakery. Summer salads (made in-house, often with ingredients from the estate and walled garden), homemade sandwiches and freshly made sausage rolls are also available for lunch. All are again made in-house by the award-winning Head Chef.

The Cafe is a daytime-only operation, opening from 10 am to 4.30 pm in the Summer and 10 am to 3.30 pm in the winter months, Wednesday to Sunday (summer) and Thursday to Sunday (winter).

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a Head Waiter/waitress with experience working in high-quality F&B operations, which could be within hotels, Restaurants, or other Catering businesses. We are looking for a person with energy and a passion for food and drink, including hopefully, a good knowledge of fine wines. This is a hands-on and customer-facing role, and so we are keen to find someone with a warm, friendly, and professional outlook.

The successful candidate will understand what it means to oversee a FOH that can consistently deliver excellent customer service experience.

Salary

Salary for The Head Waiter/waitress job is £26,000 to £32,000 (depending on your level of experience) + tips.
