Rhubarb Hospitality Recruitment is looking for a Junior Sous Chef for an AA Rosette-awarded food-led pub near Yeovil and Langport in Somerset. The property has a modern British 70-cover restaurant.

The food offering is built around fresh, locally sourced (organic where possible) modern British menus. Food emphasis is on non-fussy and non-complicated home-cooked food, prepared and presented to the very best standards.

The restaurant is popular with both local people and with those travelling further distances to enjoy what has become a reliable and consistently excellent place to eat over a 20-year period. The restaurant caters for 70+ covers on weekend evenings and 25-40 on weeknights; the kitchen has a stable team of 4 chefs plus KP’s.

We are looking for a new Junior Sous Chef that has experience working in multi-rosette standard fresh food kitchens, someone with a love and passion for working with great food and a desire to work within a stable, established, and well-run business. We will consider candidates with previous experience at Chef de Partie level or above.

Salary
The basic salary is between £28,000 and £32,000 (depending on your experience) plus tips worth £4,800 per year giving a competitive package of between £34.8k to £36.8k.

There is no accommodation available, however, there are several large towns within a short distance where reasonably priced rented accommodation can be found. Yeovil is 20 mins drive, Langport 10 minutes drive, and Taunton 30 mins drive. Your own transport would be required as public transport is not very reliable.
