This is a Kitchen Manager job vacancy for a well-known branded F&B-focused retail environment, located close to Regent Street in one of London’s most exclusive areas and directly alongside other leading international luxury brands.
This job is in part a hands-on Chef role, but mostly it is helping support the Food Manager to oversee kitchen management duties, such as ordering, quality control, stock control, staff rotas, ensuring proper H&S control etc.
Hours of work are daytime-only with straight shifts, 5 days per week, a mix of early shifts (07h30 – 15h30) and late shifts (12h00 – 20h00 (21h00 on Saturdays) in-line with general retail opening hours. The restaurant is not operational for evening service.
The kitchen is best described as a semi-development style kitchen, with no gas hobs, and only using modern grills and state-of-the-art ovens to prepare simple and cleverly designed, systems-driven production of Italian café-style menus; with items such as tortellini, fantastic salads, cold cuts, and other luxurious grilled bread-style snacks. Whilst a relatively simple menu to produce, the quality, ingredients and presentation are premium.
We are expecting applications from keen and enthusiastic Chefs such as Chef de Partie, Junior Sous, Sous Chef or any Chef or Kitchen Manager with strong professional kitchen experience and looking to move up the ladder in a well-established company.
Menus are broadly Mediterranean/Italian.
Fluent English essential, Italian speaker (is nice to have) and other European experience and languages are a plus.
Salary is c£32,000 plus excellent staff benefits and plus tronk/tips system worth approximately £2,800 per year.
