Rhubarb Hospitality Recruitment is searching for a Sous Chef for a privately owned food led pub in Taunton, Somerset.The food offering offering at the pub is based around a fresh, locally sourced modern British menu. Food emphasis is on non-fussy, non complicated, but amazingly tasty home cooked food, prepared and presented to the very best standards. Candidates applying must have a stable background working in similar high-quality fresh food kitchens as either Senior CDP or Sous Chef.
The restaurant is popular with both locals and with those travelling further distances to enjoy what has become a reliable and consistently excellent place to eat and drink. Covers are regularly in the region of 100+, with Sunday lunch times being even busier.
The kitchen brigade led by a well-respected Head Chef who is proud about the quality of food that the kitchen delivers and has a real passion for delivering great food. We are looking for a Sous Chef that shares this same passion and who can support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen forward into a continuingly successful future.
Applicants should have good people management skills, be happy to help the Head chef in all kitchen management duties and also be confident in running the pass on chef’s days off.
Salary is to £28,000, negotiable dependent on your experience, with a fixed 46 hour per week contract over 4.5 days per week. The company prides itself in ensuring a good work/life balance for all staff.
